Jeremy Thompson and Steve Branum formed the idea for Ragin' Uptown after paying a hefty cab fair for a ride home from uptown Charlotte. They stayed up all night after that fateful ride and talked about creating a party transportation service for an affordable price. The idea took shape when the two medical proffesionals found an e-saver to Dallas, TX where a limousine was for sale that they discovered on the Internet. They bought the limousine and hired someone to paint it creatively to attract attention. The unexpected popularity of that one limousine led to the groundbreaking idea of converting school buses into mass party transportation. The rest is history. These party buses hit the streets of Charlotte fully loaded with high quality stereo systems and outrageous paint schemes. The safe alternative to drinking and driving became a Charlotte sensation and remains the same today.
